Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has killer instinct on the hardwood that is unmatched by most basketball players. Antetokounmpo was selected No. 15 overall in the 2013 NBA Draft as a nobody, but has ascended to superstardom in no time flat. He has already been named an All-Star twice in his five-year career. His ability to maintain relentless intensity during games is a result of his upbringing in Greece.

“That comes from my family, seeing my parents struggle everyday and working hard for me and my brothers just to provide food on our table. I had to do whatever it takes. Whatever I try to do, I always try to give it my best and try to be a killer, because at the end of the day, if you don’t work hard, you are not going to get food on your table,” Antetokounmpo told Sports Illustrated.

After averaging career highs in points (26.9), rebounds (10) and field goal percentage (52.9) last season, he is prepared to try an take his game to a new level this year. Now that LeBron James is a Laker, Antetokounmpo may be the best player in the Eastern Conference.

He is basically a 7-foot point guard with tremendous speed, strength and versatility. If he develops consistency as a shooter from midrange and beyond, he will become virtually unstoppable. His physical traits earned him the nickname ‘The Greek Freak', while his never-ending led people to refer to him as ‘The Alphabet'. However, Antetokounmpo wants to use his hunger to win to gain some new nicknames, like MVP or NBA champion.

The Bucks will look to improve upon their first round playoff exit from last year by capitalizing on their young star's commitment to winning. Antetokounmpo wants his team to shake things up in the Eastern Conference this season.
