During the NBA Top 75 ceremony last Sunday, many of basketball's all-time greats were together under the same roof. Making a surprise appearance at the event was none other than Michael Jordan, who arrived fashionably late after attending his organization's NASCAR event. An interaction between MJ and Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns went viral in which it appeared that His Airness was unaware of who the former no. 1 overall pick was.

After seeing the videos online, Towns decided to clear things up in his Twitch live stream, revealing what really went down in his conversation with Jordan.

Towns was trolled on NBA Twitter after fans jumped to the conclusion that Jordan didn't know who he was based on their slightly awkward interaction.

Towns, however, claims that MJ was complimenting him on his big game when the Timberwolves were hosted by the Charlotte Hornets earlier in the season, but their conversation was rushed because Jordan was allegedly needed for some NBA Top 75 photos.

“They were trying to rush him—I think they were trying to rush him because of the 75,  they were trying get everyone organized and get their photos done, and get everything right. MJ looks at me and goes, ‘I see what you did to my team. F**k you.'”

The Timberwolves star admitted he was a big fan of the energy Jordan came at him with, but also insisted that fans on social media had it wrong when they assumed that the Chicago Bulls legend didn't recognize him.

In truth, it'd be shocking if Jordan wasn't aware of the Timberwolves center. The three-time All-Star is averaging 24.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. He's hitting 2.1 three-pointers per game at an impressive 40.9% clip, having just taken home the win at the Three-Point Shootout.
