If a potential double sign-and-trade, three-way swap in the works between the L.A. Clippers, the Denver Nuggets, and the Atlanta Hawks goes through, sixth man Jamal Crawford can land back in his old stomping grounds, and we're not talking about the south.

Reportedly willing to seek a buyout from the rebuilding Hawks if he lands there, Crawford could make his return to the New York Knicks — a team for which he played for a little more than four seasons (2004-08) after starting his career with the Chicago Bulls, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

Crawford has been vocal about wanting a return to Madison Square Garden and at 37 years old, this might be his last chance to entertain the crowd in the Big Apple.

The 6-foot-5 whirling dervish lit up the New York crowd in January 26, 2007, when he scored a career-high 52 points for the Knicks, torching a helpless Miami Heat, hitting 16 shots in a row at one point, including eight straight three-pointers.

The three-time Sixth Man of the Year put up 12.3 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in his last of five years with the Clippers, appearing in all 82 games.
