All season long, we have heard that Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant may end up signing with the New York Knicks in free agency this summer. In fact, some are acting like it's a foregone conclusion.

But could Durant, a player known for being rather sensitive, handle the cutthroat media in New York?

Well, writers who have covered Durant don't think it will be that much of an issue, as it won't be much different from anything else he has already experienced:

“Intensity and the proliferation — there’s more media in New York than any place else in the country. It’s a long, long way from Oklahoma City to New York City,” said Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News. “If he goes there, he knows that. And he’s been there many times as a visiting player. He knows what the questions are like. And he will know what to expect. If he goes there, I don’t think it’s like, ‘Oh are they going to eat me alive or anything.’ I don’t think he’s worried about that. I think he’s more worried about how things happen around him, how his team does, how he plays and those sort of things.”

While Durant may know what to expect, that doesn't necessarily mean he is going to handle it all that well.

The 30-year-old's beef with the media dates several years back to when he was playing in one of the league's smallest markets in Oklahoma City, so what will he do when dealing with the media will be a constant struggle in the Big Apple?

All of that being said, Durant has probably thought about all of this already, so if he does end up signing with the Knicks, you can be that he, at the very least, will be prepared.
