Never one to mince his words, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid lays the cold, hard truth as he sees it.
Embiid recently spoke to ESPN's Marc Spears on his recovery from a torn meniscus on his left knee, claiming that that he's pretty much ready for training camp. However, the 23-year-old seven-footer wasn't shy to admit that he still has some limitations right now:

It's bold of Embiid to come forward regarding his status on not being able to do contact drills just yet. He's played just 31 games in his first three seasons in the NBA because of a myriad of injuries, so it stands to reason why he's taking the more cautious route in his recovery.
Last season, Embiid averaged 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and a staggering 2.5 blocks game, proving what sort of dominant force he can be when healthy. It's now up to him to process an even more triumphant comeback this season by being in the best shape of his young professional career.
