Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid talked with Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and small forward Andrew Wiggins about newly-acquired Sixers swingman Jimmy Butler, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
Joel Embiid says both Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins said they believe Jimmy Butler will mesh well with the Sixers.

This is pretty odd, considering that Jimmy Butler reportedly had issues with Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins in Minnesota. However, maybe Wiggins and Towns are happy that Butler is gone and are just trying to say the right things at the moment.

The Sixers acquired Butler and Justin Patton from the Timberwolves in exchange for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, and a 2022 second-round pick. A Big Three of Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons could do some lethal damage in the Eastern Conference, but only if Butler is on his best behavior and doesn't cause turmoil.
The four-time All-Star had issues with teammates with the Chicago Bulls as well.
In 10 games this season, Butler is averaging 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line. The 29-year-old reportedly plans on re-signing with the Sixers in the offseason on a long-term deal.
