The Philadelphia 76ers successfully averted a sweep in the second round after eking out a 103-92 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of their series at home Monday night. That despite the fact that Joel Embiid churned out a subpar performance, scoring just 15 points along with 13 rebounds.

Speaking of Embiid, the towering Sixers big man was involved in a minor skirmish with Terry Rozier in the second quarter of the game when the two tried to fight over the ball following an offensive foul call on the Celtics point guard.

After the game, Embiid spoke about the incident during the postgame presser while also taking an obvious potshot directed at Rozier, per Mike O’Connor of The Athletic.

File that one in the NBA’s folder of pettiness, please.

As it seems, Rozier has graduated from feuding with fellow guards (Eric Bledsoe, remember him?) to annoying big NBA dudes with his aggressiveness and a never-back-down mentality. As for Embiid, this just shows that not even a 3-1 series deficit would stop him from talking junk to his opponents.

No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoffs series, but Philadelphia is not losing hope. For one, the Sixers have a chance to follow in the footsteps of their hockey-playing brethren, the Philadelphia Flyers, who once won a playoff series after falling behind 3-0 to the Boston Bruins in 2010.
