The Washington Wizards may have lost the opener of their Round 1 playoffs series with the Philadelphia 76ers, but Bradley Beal is still happy to be back in the postseason.
After missing it in the past two seasons, the Wizards returned to the playoffs as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. Of course, Beal and backcourt running mate Russell Westbrook led the charge for the Capital City team after it looked like they were on the verge of missing the play-in tournament.
Now, in his return to the postseason, Beal admitted he was “like a kid in a candy shop” after playing in the postseason. However, he did acknowledge that he didn't play up to the standard expected of him, per Fred Katz of The Athletic.
“Obviously, we all wanna win and we all wanna do well…but we can always get better,” Beal shared.
“I don’t think I played great. I don’t think I had a good game. I think we still got a couple levels we can tap into,” the Wizards star added.

Washington narrowly lost to the Sixers, 125-118, and had it not been for a controversial out-of-bounds call on Russell Westbrook late in the game, the results could have been different.
For what it's worth, Bradley Beal did not play that bad at all. He scored 33 points on 13-of-23 shooting while adding 10 rebounds and six assists. Sure, he had six turnovers, but he is far from the problem of the Wizards.
Hopefully though, the Wizards can get it together in Game 2 and allow Beal to keep enjoying this sweet treat as long as they can.
