The Washington Wizards‘ new head coach, Scott Brooks, has some high praise for his franchise player.
While Brooks was hired as Washington's new head coach just a week prior, he already has a high opinion of John Wall, via the Wall Street Journal‘s Jorge Castillo:
“He’s been a three-time all-star, which is incredible. That’s cool in itself (but) he has another level, maybe two or three levels. Not only from a basketball standpoint, (but) from a leadership standpoint.”
The 25-year-old Wall has become the clear face of the franchise. Although the Wizards missed the playoffs this past season, the young point guard had led the team to the playoffs in each of the past two years.

Having said that, there have been clear questions in regards to Wall's leadership abilities after Washington struggled throughout the 2015-16 campaign.
Brooks not only believes Wall can improve from a leadership standpoint, but he also thinks the three-time All-Star can be one of the best players in the game:
“He has the ability to be one of the best players in the game. He can fill up the stat sheet. He can score at a high level, and he’s improved his three-point shooting. I like his ability to make plays for others. Always been a high-assist guy. His rebounding is good, solid for that position.”
Considering Wall is coming off of his best statistical season with per-game averages of 19.9 points, 10.2 assists and 1.9 steals, Brooks has a valid point.
