The Washington Wizards had just clinched a playoff spot with a 107-93 win over the Charlotte Hornets Saturday afternoon. Furthermore, the team also welcomed back All-Star point guard John Wall who returned after a 27-game absence due to injury.

Wall got the better of his matchup with fellow All-Star Kemba Walker, totally outplaying the wily Hornets point guard. The former finished the game with 15 points, three rebounds, and 14 assists compared to the latter's seven points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Coming back from a long hiatus, it's understandable for Wall to still be rusty on the floor as evidenced by his 6-of-17 shooting from the field. That said, he will get another chance to shake off that rust but not in Washington's next game, which is Sunday against the Chicago Bulls.

Per Candance Buckner of The Washington Post:

Brooks announces Wall will not play tomorrow in Chicago. Tomas Satoransky back in the starting lineup.

The Bulls are in tank mode, giving the Wizards the benefit of having their best playmaker take the night off so as not to force him back into carrying heavy loads.

Washington has six games remaining on their schedule. While they've already punched a playoff ticket, they can't afford to sleep on these remaining games unless they want to fall from their sixth-place standing all the way down to the eighth seed where only one game separates them from the Milwaukee Bucks.

If the playoffs started today or if not much will change in the standings, the Wizards will be going up against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
