Don’t look now but another player will be missing the 2018 NBA All-Star Game because of an injury. John Wall will be out six to eight weeks due to an ongoing knew issue. This certainly does not bode well for the Washington Wizards’ hopes to grab one of the higher seeds in the playoffs.

ESPN Stats & Info says that Washington’s net efficiency plummets from fourth-best in the NBA with Wall in the lineup to 22nd without him.

“John Wall is expected to miss six weeks with a knee injury, per @PostSports. The Wizards net efficiency with him on the court this season is the equivalent of the Celtics (4th-best in NBA). Without him, Washington would rank behind the Knicks (22nd in NBA).”

According to The Washington Post’s Candace Buckner:

“Wall will undergo an arthroscopic debridement procedure Wednesday to clean up the bothersome area at the Cleveland Clinic’s Marymount Hospital in Ohio. The surgery will be performed by Richard D. Parker, the same orthopedic specialist who conducted Wall’s double knee surgery in May 2016. Parker is the head physician for the Cleveland Cavaliers.”

Wall’s backcourt mate Bradley Beal will have to step up his game to compensate for the loss of his All-Star buddy and keep the team afloat. The Wizards are currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a 27-22 record.

The Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond will be replacing Wall as a reserve for Team LeBron. Wall is the second player in LeBron James’ team to go down with an injury in less than a week. The New Orleans Pelicans’ DeMarcus Cousins suffered an ACL injury earlier and is out for the season. He will be replaced by Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George.
