NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb raised a few eyebrows during the Combine when he basically claimed to be a combination of elite edge defenders Khalil Mack and Von Miller. As it turns out, it's not quite as outlandish a claim as it might seem.

None other than Von Miller himself has backed up Chubb’s comparison of himself, with the Broncos pass rusher saying Chubb is “Khalil Mack and Von Miller put together.”

Miller added per NFL.com’s Nick Shook that he’d be happy to have Chubb as a teammate if he drops to the Broncos at No. 5.

“He is a great player. I would love to have him on my team. You don't come across guys like that often. Having the No. 5 pick in the draft, I hope we don't have a high pick like that for a while. If we could steal a player like that, I'm all for it.”

It’s certainly high praise for an elite defender like Miller to endorse Chubb’s credentials ahead of the draft. While the Broncos reportedly have their sights set on another defensive player at No. 5 – cornerback Denzel Ward – they would certainly have a lot to think about if Chubb does end up falling to them at that spot.

Chubb could provide Miller with the caliber of pass rush partner he hasn’t had since DeMarcus Ware. That combination helped deliver a Super Bowl title to Denver, and if Chubb is, in fact, the Miller-Mack hybrid Miller believes, the Broncos could potentially become a legit contender once again.
