Colin Kaepernick hasn't played an NFL down since 2016 and despite training hard each and every day for another shot, he remains out of the league. Kap's stance against police brutality and racism in America essentially resulted in him getting axed from the league after kneeling during the national anthem.

Although he likely deserves the chance to play again, Hall of Famer Warren Moon knows the owners won't budge.

Via TMZ Sports:

“I just don't know if Colin Kaepernick is going to get that opportunity,” Moon said earlier this week. “I just don't think the NFL wants that subject back into the league.

“Just thinking off the top of my head,” Moon said, “those owners, they have a very close-knit unit and once they make their minds up that they don't want to do something, it doesn't happen.”

There's no doubt Kaepernick is deserving of being in the NFL still. But Moon has a valid point. The owners aren't interested in bringing that type of topic back into the league. It's a shame because Kap is more than capable of helping a team out.

While it's not exactly out of the question that Colin Kaepernick could get an opportunity, five years have gone by and it hasn't happened. Who says it will now.
