The Chicago Bears have had a tough season. They are 4-9 and all but eliminated from playoff contention. Bears head coach Matt Nagy was reportedly on the hot seat, then he wasn't. Reports had surfaced that he had lost the locker room.
Well, it certainly sounds like the latter part was accurate. According to USA Today's Alyssa Barbieri, Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson openly discussed the division inside the Bears locker room.
So much for Matt Nagy not losing the locker room. https://t.co/Owx1BoNoqv

Jaylon Johnson reportedly appeared on Red Line Radio. When asked about the morale of the team, Johnson dug in.
“You have the side of the locker room that is starting to go into the tank and you have the guys that are still trying to fight and figure out how we can get better. I mean, at the end of the day, that’s the name of the game is trying to get better each and every week and then just being able to put four quarters of football together… It’s not about one quarter being good at some times and at moments, but really being able to figure out how we can be good for four quarters and find ways to win football games.”
The comments are sure to make some waves with the organization. NFL teams typically like to extend their head coaches prior to final couple of seasons of a contract, particularly with their coaches. However, they did not extended Matt Nagy's contract beyond 2022. Thus, this was a year where the organization was looking to see improvement. Improvement with the offense and the overall record.
Things have got even worse this season, leaving many wondering, how long is this going to last.
