Chicago Bears fans are finally getting what they want. Justin Fields is starting for the team in place of Andy Dalton, but it's not exactly going to last for long.
Fields is starting their preseason tilt against the Tennessee Titans particularly because Dalton is taking the first snap for the Bears in Week 1.
The Bears will start Justin Fields and he’ll likely play two quarters against the Titans. Andy Dalton will not play because he is the Bears’ Week 1 starter.

Justin Fields has turned heads in his limited preseason action thus far, which has Bears fans literally chanting for him to play over Andy Dalton. But head coach Matt Nagy is committed to seeing things through with the veteran over the rookie, at least until the wheels fall off, or at least until the clamor gets too loud to ignore.

“The stock for us in Andy is going to see what he does for us during the season,” Bears head coach Matt Nagy said after Saturday’s second preseason game. “We have to see what Andy can do during the season with this team and with these guys. That has been our plan this whole entire time.”
Matt Nagy just confirmed that Andy Dalton’s performance will be a big factor in when Justin Fields plays.
“Performance and wins.”
Fields is close. #Bears are committed to giving Dalton a chance to prove himself as the starter in the regular season.
