Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is back in the saddle after suffering a left shoulder injury in Week 4. On Wednesday, the third-year quarterback had a full practice and is expected to start against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The Bears will monitor the situation closely. However, barring a sudden shift in the team's luck, he will be starting, said coach Matt Nagy on Wednesday:

But if Mitch is able to play and able to go out there and play, then that means to me that physically he’s passed. He can play. If I get told by professionals that he’s able to play in the game, that means I’m able to use him that way.”
Trubisky, who has thrown for 588 yards and three touchdowns to two interceptions on the year, has been smart with his rehab to get back on the field:
“It's been tough,” Trubisky said, per Emma. “Obviously, you want to be out there with your team. But stuff happens on the field. Not being able to be out there with my guys hurt, but you try to help in any way you can. Obviously, I got to take care of business rehabbing, try to get back to show I can play.
It's all about being smart and obviously trying to think long-term. I'm trying to have the longest career as possible.” Trubisky continued. “I'm going to be honest with myself and everyone else in this building. If I can go, I'm going to go. And if there's no restrictions, no holding back.”
For the season, Trubsiky is 3-1 as a starter. The Bears lost their lone game without him with Chase Daniel as the starter against the Oakland Raiders in London.
