The Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets meet for a critical Week 5 battle for both organizations. The Cowboys are coming off a rare tie against the Green Bay Packers in the Micah Parsons Bowl. The Jets fell to the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 and are still looking for their first win. The Cowboys are 1-2-1 on the season, and the tie could benefit them when it comes to playoff seeding.

The Cowboys have already ruled out four players for this game in New York. The headliner of the players is star receiver CeeDee Lamb, which isn't much of a shocker, as he is dealing with a major ankle injury.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer knew that Lamb would not play but expects him to return to the team soon. When asked about Lamb and Tyler Booker, here is what he said.

“They're both moving around good,” Schottenheimer said, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. “I think the window is getting smaller.”

Lamb has 16 catches for 222 yards in three games. He has yet to find the endzone, but he is averaging 74 yards per game. Averaging 13.9 yards per catch, it seems Lamb will pick up right where he left off, which will give him many chances to help propel the Cowboys to victories.

Kavontae Turpin, Tyler Booker, and Tyler Guyton are all out as well. Turpin has been a great playmaker for the Cowboys, and not having him alongside Lamb is going to hurt the Cowboys. We all know what Lamb can do on the field, but Turpin deserves his flowers. He's carried the ball six times for 23 yards on the season with 11 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown in four games.

Dak Prescott will need to connect with receiver George Pickens often in this game. It's expected that defensive star Sauce Gardner will shadow Pickens throughout the game. Pickens got real about the matchup against Gardner.
