The Dallas Cowboys got a huge win in Week 12 just before Thanksgiving. Dallas beat Philadelphia 24-21 at AT&T Stadium thanks in part to a heroic performance from WR George Pickens. The veteran receiver is winning over important figures within the Cowboys organization, including the starting quarterback.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott made his stance clear on a potential Pickens extension.

“He’s not from here. He’s not from this planet… We’ve got to make sure we can keep him here,” Prescott said after the game, per Cowboys reporter Tommy Yarrish.

Pickens had a great game against Philadelphia and made the difference on offense. He hauled in nine receptions for 146 receiving yards and a touchdown. Pickens did just enough to keep the Cowboys in the game despite the rest of the team playing well, but not great.

His stat line was almost identical to last week against the Raiders, though he had two fewer receiving yards. It was the third game this season where Pickens had nine or more receptions, 140+ receiving yards, and a touchdown.

Pickens is on an expiring contract and could hit free agency this spring. But Prescott clearly wants Pickens to stay on a long-term contract.

It will be interesting to see if Pickens sticks around in Dallas this offseason.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had nothing but great things to say about Pickens after the big win.

“I tell you, George has been such an integral part of our story. And he has his story to a degree that that's our story.” Jones said. “I'm so proud for him, everybody on this team is. And he certainly has absolutely been the difference as we played over the last two weeks. And we can let it come as well as something when you've got 88 (CeeDee Lamb) and (George) Pick[ens],” Jones added.

Dallas acquired Pickens in a trade with Pittsburgh back in May. That deal seems to be working out fabulously for the Cowboys, even if Pickens only plays one year in Dallas.

But the Cowboys don't have much time to celebrate their huge victory over the Eagles.

Next up for the Cowboys is a Thanksgiving matchup against the Chiefs.
