Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia has received heat from former players because of his personality. The latest to put him on blast is former safety Glover Quinn. Quinn made it clear he had no issue with Patricia as a person, but took great exception to the way he coached.

Quinn joined SportsRadio 610 in Houston, making it very clear he feels one of the biggest reasons for Detroit's regression the last few years was because of Patricia.

“We were changing the perception for the Detroit Lions, and then all of sudden Matt Patricia comes in and feels like, I gotta change the whole culture,” said Quin. “And we’re like, ‘You don’t have to change the culture. The culture is good. They just maybe want you to get us over the hump.’ …

When Patricia came in as the new Lions head coach a lot of guys didn't like the way he handled his business, and many believed he had a sort of arrogance with him.

“Coach Patricia came in and tore it all down and a lot of the guys didn’t really want to buy into what he was teaching because of the way he presented it. His attitude, his persona, his arrogance, things like that made people not really want to buy into it. That was the disconnect.”

The Lions have struggled since Patricia came over. There were some who thought he might be fired after last season. Somehow he made it through, but not for much longer if the ship's course isn't correct soon.
