The Detroit Lions passed the torch of No. 1 wide receivers from Golden Tate to Kenny Golladay in 2018. He impressed doing so, recording 70 catches for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns, despite missing one game and starting all but three. Now as the top option for the offense, expectations are high, and he doesn't think he's done anything yet — despite a mightily impressive second year.
He told Tim Twentyman of the Lions official website:

As gifted as an athlete of any receiver on the Lions — standing in at 6-foot-4 and 214-pounds — but it doesn't matter to Golladay, work does.
“This is just the beginning, I feel like. I’m still growing as a receiver. I’m only coming into my third year. I’m still young in the game. I understand that. The coaches remind me of that all the time. I don’t ever want to get a big head. If it’s out there taking extra reps or staying after practice and doing extra, I’m all for it.”
Unlike in 2018, coming off an injury-plagued season, Golladay has the attention of defensive minds league-wide. Cornerbacks will play him tighter, and he's sure to see bracket coverage from time-to-time. But, he's ready for that. The former Northern Illinois star is trying to get better to solidify himself at Matthew Stafford's top option not only in 2019 but for years to come as well.
