All four teams in the NFC North are over .500. The Green Bay Packers sit at the top at 4-1 while the Detroit Lions are 2-1-1. This will be the first meeting between these two teams who have a tendency of playing good games.

Both teams have looked good to begin the season. This game will be an important one early in the season for both sides.

Here are two key matchups that could prove to be huge in this game.

2. Preston Smith/Za'Darius Smith vs. Lions' Offensive Line

The Packers finally seem to have a legitimate pass rush. That is something they have lacked over the last few seasons, but they made an effort to address the need in the offseason. Preston Smith has 5.5 sacks this season, while Za'Darius Smith has five.

The Lions' offensive line has done enough early in the season. Their tackle play has been solid, but their line as a whole is nothing to write home about. The Lions' offense is not a quick hitting one. They like to get their receivers down the field so Matthew Stafford can use his big arm. The Lions will need to slow down the Packers' new and improved pass rush to let plays develop down the field. If not, the Smith's can blow this game up.

1. Aaron Rodgers vs. Darius Slay

Darius Slay has been banged up in recent weeks. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of one game. He returned to practice this week and it is hard to imagine he will miss this game against a division rival.

If he is on the field, it will be interesting to see how he is used. Usually, Aaron Rodgers does not like to look Slay's way, but that could change if the cornerback is hobbled. The defense in Detroit is better with Slay on the field. If he is on the outside matched up against one of the Green Bay receivers, it is usually bad news.

Rodgers is always an X-Factor heading into a Packer game and this is no different. It will be interesting to see how Rodgers handles the Lions' secondary in this one.
