Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were hoping to move to 4-0 on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, but that didn't end up being the case. When everything was said and done, the Packers ended up losing by a final score of 34-27. It was an entertaining offensive battle, but Green Bay was unable to get the job done.
While the loss is extremely disappointing, there were some major positives to take away from the game. One of those was the play of Rodgers himself, who had a monstrous performance and picked apart the Philadelphia defense from start to finish.
Green Bay fans were worried about Rodgers and the offense after a slow start to the season. Now, they have to be feeling a lot better about things.
Rodgers ended up completing 34 of his 53 pass attempts for 422 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. That's right, Rodgers threw his first interception of the season. Unfortunately, it came at the end of the game as the Packers were looking to tie the game, but the interception wasn't Rodgers' fault.
Either way, Rodgers showed that he is still one of the top quarterbacks in the game. Matt LaFleur had some questionable play calls, but he was much better in the game as well.
Even with a loss, the Packers are still going to be one of the top teams in the NFL after the first four weeks of the season. Going 4-0 is a very tough task and losing one game is nothing to worry about. Green Bay will just need to focus on coming back strong in Week 5 against a very good Dallas Cowboys team.
All of that being said, what kind of grade does Rodgers deserve for his performance against the Eagles?

Rodgers deserves an A- grade for his performance against Philadelphia. He dominated the game and nearly pulled out another big win for his team. However, he doesn't deserve higher than an A-.
There were times throughout the game that Rodgers missed a throw and the fact that he did throw an interception, even if it wasn't his fault, still has to be taken into consideration.
Green Bay should feel very confident about themselves moving forward this season. They finally have their offense clicking and the defense is much better than it has been in years past despite a rough performance against the Eagles.
Expect to see the Packers come out looking to prove a point once again next week against the Cowboys.
