The Green Bay Packers had a crushing blow this week as Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19. Rodgers will be out until at least Saturday, Nov. 13, meaning he will miss the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers have started off the season 7-1, while the Chiefs have struggled and sit at 4-4.

Green Bay is coming off a win over the Arizona Cardinals despite missing several key players. The Packers will need to keep this momentum going if they are going to stand a chance against the Chiefs.

Green Bay Packers Week 9 Predictions

4. Davante Adams goes over 100 yards

While Rodgers will be out, Davante Adams will be making his return after a one-week absence. Adams is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and this season, he has 52 receptions for 744 yards and three touchdowns.

Kansas City's defense has struggled throughout the season, often allowing receivers to have dominant games. Adams has gone over 100 yards in three of the seven games he has played this season and should torch this weak Chiefs secondary.

3. Packers force multiple turnovers

One of the biggest surprises so far this season is how often the Chiefs have turned over the ball. Patrick Mahomes has not been playing at his usual level. He has thrown 10 interceptions this season, which is almost more than his last two seasons combined at 11 interceptions.

The Packers have also been playing at a high level this season. They picked off Kyler Murray twice last week, including a game-sealing interception. Even without Jaire Alexander, Green Bay's defense has shown the ability to force turnovers.

2. Jordan Love gets 3 total touchdowns

While Rodgers is out, this game will be highly anticipated. Jordan Love's first start could determine what his future holds with the Packers. Love has a little bit of experience in the NFL as he played some snaps in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints.

In his little play, Love completed five of his seven passes for 68 yards. This sample size doesn't show much, but Love's dual-threat ability should help him make an impact on the game.

1. Packers steal a win

Heading into this game without Rodgers will be difficult. Although the Chiefs have had an up-and-down season, they are still loaded with talent. However, the Packers have rallied as a team throughout the season, even when they are missing key players.

This will be the toughest test all season for Matt LaFleur's team, but they have the talent and scheme to get the win. Green Bay has elite weapons on offense in Adams and Aaron Jones who can carry the load and help Love have an easy first start.

The defense will also be crucial for the Packers coming away with the win since they won't have Rodgers on offense to bail them out. Look for the Packers to steal a win over the struggling Chiefs.
