Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will make their 2022 playoff debut at home against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night. The Niners have stellar playmakers but Green Bay is the favorite to advance to their third straight NFC Championship Game.
Rodgers played himself firmly in the MVP conversation by throwing for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns and leading Green Bay to the best record in the league. He looks to obtain his second Super Bowl ring before seemingly leaving the Packers.
Ahead of kickoff, Rodgers spoke to NFL Network's Kay Adams. He pulled up his foot to show his previously injured toe again, this time keeping his socks on, before discussing his chemistry with Davante Adams, his career and more.
Aaron Rodgers says (before showing Kay his socks) that his toe is much better. The reason why is that the fracture has healed enough to where it’s no longer unstable or moving around. https://t.co/vCmGllZV0z

Rodgers giving the world a piece of his mind has led to some wild rants about COVID-19, President Joe Biden, online censorship and more. The polarizing opinions added a new dimension to the legacy of the future Hall-of-Famer. He told Adams that the narrative around him is important but he likely did more harm than good by discussing his controversial thoughts so frequently.
The perception around Rodgers won't matter against the 49ers, though. The Packers will have to lock in and bring their A-game so they don't get upset by the Niners. With Nick Bosa healthy again, the San Francisco defense means business.
Rodgers, who previously wanted to be drafted by the 49ers, has not yet beat them in the playoffs. He'll have his fourth chance to do so tonight.
