Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will square off for the first time in their storied careers, with the fans paying the price.

It seems surprising that these two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks have never played one another, yet, here we are. This Sunday Green Bay travels to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Chiefs in what will be one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. Unfortunately for fans, they will have to pay top dollar if they want to see it in person.

The average ticket price on the secondary market at places like TickPick are $411.  That is a 48% increase from the last time these teams met in 2019. Mahomes was forced to miss that game with injury and Matt Moore took his place in a 31-24 Packers victory. That injury sets the stage for this first-ever meeting between the two greats.

Green Bay, coming off an impressive road win at the previously undefeated Arizona Cardinals, sits at 7-1 atop the NFC North. Every win counts in the NFC as Green Bay, Arizona, Los Angeles and Dallas all sit with only one loss, with defending champion Tampa Bay with two. Only one team will earn the first round bye, so every game is crucial to the Packers.

Whereas, the Chiefs looked flat narrowly beating the lowly New York Giants at home Monday night. The victory got Kansas City back to .500, at 4-4, but have a long way to go to regain the form of a Super Bowl contender. The Chiefs have one of the most difficult schedules remaining in the NFL and it starts this weekend hosting A-Rod and the Pack.
