Turf toe may sound like a minor injury, but it can keep players on the sideline for weeks. This is exactly what's going on with Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams, who's been out since Week 4 with turf toe. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke on Adams and his potential return to ESPN's Rob Demovsky:

“I want him to be healthy first and foremost, and that's a tough injury to deal with. You've seen other top receivers who've had similar injuries and it nags them for most of the season. I'd love for him to be as healthy as possible before he comes back.” Rodgers said.

Green Bay seems reluctant to rush Adams back into action, and with good reason. They've won all three games that Adams has missed, two of which were by hefty margins.

The Packers face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8, who aren't nearly as intimidating without reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. Green Bay should beat the Chiefs with or without Adams, as it's pretty unlikely that Matt Moore outduels Aaron Rodgers on Sunday Night Football.

Without the former Fresno State Bulldog, the Green Bay offense hasn't stopped scoring. The team has a ridiculous 98 points over the last three showdowns, but the production from wide receivers has been less than ideal.

Not including Week 7's romp over the Oakland Raiders, the team's most consistent pass-catcher has been running back Aaron Jones. That's never a good sign for a team's passing attack.

When Adams does get back on the field, whenever that may be, the Packers will only get more dangerous.
