Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a reputation for icy relationships with his receivers. That doesn't seem to apply to former Packer Randall Cobb, though. Rodgers has said that he wants to get in a pre-game route tree with Cobb before the Packers face Cobb's Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, according to Matt Schneidman.
Aaron Rodgers said maybe he’ll get to throw Randall Cobb some passes before Sunday’s game like he did to Jordy in Oakland before a preseason game last year.

This will probably come as a surprise to anyone who has read reports about Aaron Rodgers. In a scathing Bleacher Report article written by Tyler Dunne, Rodgers' prima donna ways were exposed. The former Cal Bear would apparently give the cold shoulder to receivers if they didn't perform up to his standards. Rodgers would also reportedly change the play calls endlessly, and then get angry at his young receivers when they inevitably made a mistake.
It appears that Cobb has remained in Rodgers' good graces despite leaving Green Bay in the offseason. The Cowboys signed Cobb to a one-year, $5 million dollar deal to become the starting slot receiver. The former Packer has been decent in 2019, tallying 157 yards and a touchdown on 14 catches. He also returned some punts in the early weeks of the season.
The Week 5 game against between the Packers and Cowboys is one of the best matchups of the week. Both teams are currently sitting at 3-1 and lead their respective divisions. Sunday's game will likely play a part in future playoff placing, as both squads jockey for the first seed in a competitive NFC.
