Could the Green Bay Packers end up landing running back Le'Veon Bell? ESPN writer Matt Bowen seems to think it would be a good fit.

Now, just because the Packers may be the best fit does not mean they are the most realistic possibility, which Bowen points out in his piece. The New York Jets are considered by many to be the frontrunners to sign Bell due to their massive amount of cap room, and the Raiders are also seen as a potential destination after landing wide receiver Antonio Brown in a trade.

But Bowen cites the offense that Matt LaFleur will be running in Green Bay as one that would perfectly suit Bell's style, mentioning the misdirections, the screen packages, and the zone and gap runs that LaFleur will likely employ.

Bell sat out the entire 2018 campaign due to a contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also held out through Week 1 in 2017, but he returned in Week 2 and rushed for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns while hauling in 85 receptions for 655 yards and a couple of scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Michigan State University, was originally selected by the Steelers in the second round (48th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Since entering the league, Bell has made three trips to Honolulu while earning First-Team All-Pro honors twice.

His best season came in 2014, when he racked up 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground while catching 83 passes for 854 yards and three scores.
