Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers haven't had the happiest marriage since winning a Lombardi Trophy back in 2011 and their relationship took another hit during this year's NFL draft. Instead of drafting a wide receiver expected, Green Bay elected to take quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th pick, shocking even some of Rodgers' teammates.

In a recent cameo on CBS Sports Radio's The Zach Gelb Show, Packers veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis was asked how he reacted to Green Bay's decision to draft a quarterback in the first round. Lewis admitted to initially being “shocked,” but does not think the decision will be a distraction for Rodgers going forward. Said Lewis of the veteran quarterback:

“You just let it go … The things that you can't control is water off a duck's back. Do the best job that you can to control the things that you can control, and let the universe do the rest. Aaron is a grown man. You don't think he's ever had to deal with things like that? Whether it be distractions, adversity, it doesn't matter what it is. He's a grown man. He is where he is a for a reason. I'm not worried about it.”

It's no secret that Rodgers' relationship with the Packers has somewhat soured in recent years. The team has gone 4-7 in the postseason since their victory in Super Bowl XLV, losing in three NFC Championship games and failing to make a return to the big game. The Packers also missed the playoffs for two straight years before this past season.

Green Bay will enter the 2020 season with both two-time MVP Rodgers and the rookie Love in tow. Training camp begins at the end of July
