Aaron Rodgers' toe injury has been a major talking point over the past few days. After all, he missed the Green Bay Packers' practices heading to their Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to the ailment.

Following Sunday's win, more discussions on the issue and whether Rodgers should undergo surgery or not surfaced. The Packers have a bye week coming up, so it seems to be the perfect time to address the issue and have an opportunity to let it heal.

While Rodgers is reportedly not planning to have surgery at this time, head coach Matt LaFleur shared that his star quarterback is still evaluating his options. He also expressed concern about the toe injury, though he noted that the 37-year-old signal-caller is “as tough as they come.”

“I don't know where that's at. I know he's gathering other opinions, so we'll see where that goes,” LaFleur said on the possibility of Rodgers getting surgery, per Ryan Wood of Green Bay-Press Gazette.

“I don't know the timeframe for that to heal. I know he's battling through. As the game goes on, you can tell he has a more noticeable limp.

Aaron Rodgers did play well against the Rams, completing 28 of his 45 passes en route to 307 yards and two touchdowns. He also scored on the ground with a rushing TD–something that one with a toe injury couldn't have done.

The Packers are probably looking at the pros and cons of having Rodgers undergo surgery now and later on. They have one of the best records in the NFL at 9-3, but they would perhaps want to assure their place in the playoffs first before making a decision.

However, it is certainly a development worth keeping an eye on, especially since the injury could be bothersome for Rodgers moving forward.
