The Green Bay Packers not only received a massive fine for violating the NFL's COVID-19 protocols. Apparently, they also got a warning about the possible consequences if they violate the rules again.

On Tuesday, the NFL handed the Packers a $300,000 fine due to various violations of the rule in place. Some of which include allowing Aaron Rodgers and and Allen Lazard to be in team facilities without wearing a mask, as well as not reporting that the two attended a Halloween party. Unvaccinated players are not allowed to attend gatherings of more than three people.

The punishment the Packers received are actually still a bit light, as the NFL took in consideration the team's cooperation. However, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported the league won't be as considerate the next time Green Bay violates the COVID-19 protocols.

The source said the Packers' cooperation with the investigation was taken into consideration, but the team was warned that future violations could result in increased discipline, including possible change in draft position or loss of draft choice.

The Packers certainly need to be more careful now that the NFL has their eyes on them. The possibility of a higher fine aside, losing draft picks or changing draft positions doesn't bode well in their attempts to maintain their contender status long-term.

It doesn't look like Aaron Rodgers himself will change his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine. With that said, Green Bay will have to do a better job to ensure he and the rest of the team follows the protocols.
