The Green Bay Packers have lost a new body for the rest of the season in outside linebacker Nick Perry, with Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reporting that the veteran has been put on the injured reserve by the team.

Perry has appeared in nine games this season, racking up 24 tackles to go along with 1.5 sacks, but missed the previous two games due to a knee injury.
With his recent development on the players' front, the Packers are expected to shift Kyler Fackrell to a spot on the team’s starting unit currently vacated by Perry to complement Clay Matthews on the other side on the defensive line.

Green Bay has one of the most effective pass rush in the league through the first 11 weeks of the season. So far, the Packers are tied for third in the NFL with 34.0 sacks. Fackrell leads the team with 8.0 quarterback takedowns, while Kenny Clark is behind him with 5.0.
Nick Perry, who was a first-round pick by Green Bay in 2012, signed a five-year deal worth $59 million with the Packers back in 2017.
