If you're familiar with Aaron Rodgers and his ongoing passive-aggressive tug-of-war with the Green Bay Packers, then you are probably able to come up with a good measure of the man and the athlete.

He is petty, sarcastic, prickly, and demanding. But with that too comes all-time talent, incredible smarts, iron-like grit and toughness, hard work, and winning.

So it breaks fans' hearts to know that the team has mistreated him for so long, at least according to NFL veteran and legend Richard Sherman:

Sherman went on to elaborate specifically about how it feels to have your replacement looming behind you after an MVP season:

“He's looking for a true number two receiver, and he's done it with whatever [the Packers] have given him…but it's not like you've seen…that they're really trying to get [Rodgers] what he needs…you don't see that a lot of times, and you see him still having an MVP season, you see them drafting his replacement last year…there is a disrespect when you say, “Hey, we got your replacement sitting here, and you just had an MVP season,” and we're just supposed to think everything's cool.”

He's right, of course. Rodgers has tried for years to have some sort of say in the way that Green Bay builds its roster, and has absolutely produced regardless of the pieces around him. Sherman summed it up best:

“He doesn't need to prove anything. He just was MVP for the third time this decade, and I don't think people have given him enough credit for that.”
