The embattled coach has seen plenty of success with the Iowa Hawkeyes where he served from 1999 to 2019. He was highly regarded by his peers and was deemed as one of the best assistant coaches in the collegiate ranks. His track record was bannered by his participation in 16 bowl games and oversaw a total of 55 players get drafted by NFL teams.
However, his tenure was marred after being accused of bullying and giving racist remarks to his former college players back in 2020. After the rumors emerged, Chris Doyle went on to deny the accusations and didn't pursue any legal action against the university after agreeing to a $1.1 severance pay.
He was eventually dismissed from his position back on June 15 before he was tapped by Urban Meyer to join his coaching staff with the Jaguars. As of the moment, the new head coach is taking his time to fill in the other spots on his staff as well.
With Doyle's departure, Meyer will continue to seek a candidate who will fill in the position before the offseason proceedings begin for the Jaguars in the coming months.
