Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone is on the hot seat. The team is in last place in the AFC South and the 2019 season has been nothing short of a challenge. It'll also be a “challenge” for Marrone in retaining his position.

The Jaguars signed Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles to take over quarterback duties this season, only to see the veteran gunslinger injure his shoulder in Week 1. In his stead, rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew took over under center, having an up-and-down time, eventually sitting down when Foles returned and getting the starting nod a second time after Foles' rusty return.
Additionally, star defensive back Jalen Ramsey wanted out after beefing with Marrone, which did no favors for the head coach's defense.
Marrone led the Jaguars to the AFC Championship in 2017 nearly two years ago, but since then it has been a steep decline for Jacksonville in what looks to be a reset on the Florida franchise.
Last week Marrone admitted the team, along with himself, are fighting for the safety of their jobs.
At this moment, it doesn't look good for Marrone in keeping his, however. He signed a contract extension with the Jaguars through 2021, but it's difficult to imagine him staying longer than 2019.
