Doug Pederson addressed the media for the first time as the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach on Saturday. Pederson sat alongside Jaguars owner Shad Khan and general manager Trent Baalke during the event. He took this time to point out the talent already in the franchise, answer questions from reporters, and share his extremely high expectations for the team.
He empathized with Jaguars fans and acknowledged that they have dealt with a lot of losses and disappointment in recent years.
“You've been through a lot, even this past season, but that's about to change,” Pederson said. He then made a huge promise to the organization and its fanbase. “I can promise you that I'm going to come to work every single day with the diligent task to make this a winning organization.”
Pederson doesn't only want to form a winning organization, he wants a championship team.

Pederson knows what it's like to be the head coach of a Super Bowl team. He led the Philadelphia Eagles to their unlikely championship in February of 2018. Could he get the Jaguars on track to win one themselves?
