Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback has never been shy about expressing his opinion. He even went so far as to say that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was “not good” prior to the 2018 NFL season.

However, it appears he has had a change-of-heart ahead of their Week 2 matchup. According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington, Ramsey refuted his earlier criticisms of Gronkowski.

“He’s good now. Don’t get it twisted. But you’re saying this like it’s supposed to bring fear to me. I don’t fear any man.”

It is safe to assume that Ramsey may have just been blowing smoke about Gronkowski the whole time. His comments indicate that he has heard his fair share of praise for the Patriots' star. Perhaps he finally got fed up with them and decided to try and knock him down a few pegs.

When Ramsey made the comments, he referred to Gronkowski's performance in last year's AFC Championship Game as evidence. The latter had registered just 27 yards before he was knocked out of the game with a concussion. However, his inability to produce in that game hardly outweighs all the other impressive accomplishments in his career. That said, there is no debating that “Gronk”  is the best tight end in the league when healthy.

Gronkowski has acknowledged the trash talk that comes from Jacksonville, however, he has already pledged to keep his cool in Week 2. Regardless, that will not stop Ramsey and the rest of the Jaguars defense from giving him an earful throughout the game.
