When the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Tim Tebow to play tight end, the reaction to the news was more than just a little bit mixed. However, one of the funnier parts of this entire saga are the conspiracy theories that have emerged since the deal was made official.

One of the most popular theories involved Urban Meyer doing his former college quarterback, and current neighbor, a favor by bringing him back to the NFL so he “could get vested” in the league “since he's only a few games away.”

Something like that. Like all awful conspiracy theories, it's a bit all over the place.

Nevertheless, the fine people over at ProFootballTalk have done it, kids. We can all take our tinfoil hats off, realize lizard people are not running the world, and come to the understanding that Tim Tebow, the Jaguars and Urban Meyer are not that kind of dumb — they're just super pro nepotism.

According to PFT, this specific “vested” theory doesn't fit because, well, Tim Tebow is already vested in the National Football League.
