The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has gone from bad to horribly worse. Not only have the Jaguars gone winless in their first four games, but their coach has even recently been embroiled in his own online scandal.
Things aren't going swimmingly in the locker room either, as Meyer is rumored to be losing respect of Jaguars players.
According to Sports Illustrated reporter Michael Silver on Twitter, the situation has reached a “crisis point”.
Article Continues Below“He has zero credibility in that stadium,” said an anonymous Jaguars player. “He had very little to begin with.”
The players were reportedly up in arms over Meyer cancelling their team meeting on Monday amid all the backlash he's going through for his viral video with a woman dancing on him at a bar.
“He even canceled the team meeting. He was too scared,” another Jaguars player told Silver.
When Jaguars coach tried to justify what happened to the players in smaller groups, they reportedly burst out in laughter when he left.
To say that Urban Meyer is off to a bad start in Jacksonville would be the understatement of the young NFL season. We'll just have to wait and see how he and his Jaguars bounce back after their stumbles, both on and off the field.
