Earlier this offseason it was reported that Urban Meyer was unaware of who Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald was. After weeks of speculation, Meyer recently responded to the claim on a recent episode of the “Tim May Podcast”.

Urban Meyer, who was fired as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the end of the 2021 NFL regular season, allegedly asked a Jaguars staffer “Who’s this 99 guy on the Rams? I’m hearing he might be a problem for us.” according to a report from The Athletic in March, citing a source within the Jaguars organization. In that same report, The Athletic would go on to say that “multiple sources” claimed Meyer was unfamiliar with a few NFL stars on other teams.

“First of all, there's no way you didn't know who Aaron Donald was, right?” Tim May asked.

“When I heard … someone told me that,” Urban Meyer stated. “I've heard silly things before in my life. It's almost, you shouldn't even address stuff like that it's so silly.”

The Aaron Donald story is not the only red flag that has come out since Meyer's firing last year. Two separate incidents had the long-time college standout head coach in hot water after Meyer allegedly kicked a Jaguars player during a stretching period last season, and was also spotted at a Columbus, Ohio bar getting handsy with a woman that reportedly was not Meyer's wife. This all coming after years of alleged wrongdoings at both Florida and Ohio State during Meyer's tenure at both universities.
