New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has an injury to his right hand, which happens to be his throwing hand. While Brady is expected to play in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, it remains to be seen just how much that hand injury will impact his effectiveness during the game.

However, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone doesn’t appear to be concerning himself with the status of Brady’s right hand as he believes Brady could probably do just as well with the other.

“I’m sure he could probably throw left-handed if he has a problem with his right hand and throw just as well,” Marrone said, via Phillip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union.

While Marrone’s comments are obviously meant as a sly joke, they still show a sign of respect for Brady and the Patriots' greatness. He and the Jaguars likely realize that even if Brady is playing at less than 100 percent, New England can still find a way to beat them. That's why Jacksonville shouldn’t use the injury as any reason to feel complacent or overly confident heading into the game.

But in case Brady’s hand injury does somehow prevent him from playing as well as he’s capable of, it should only be great news for Marrone and his defense. The Jaguars pass rush won’t give Brady much time and space to work with in the pocket, and the slightest dip in accuracy from the Patriots quarterback would bode well for the Jags and their chances of pulling off another stunning upset.
