Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden recently said that the team is done trading players away following a deal that sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a future first-round pick. However, what Gruden said can be taken with a grain of salt with rumors of another Raiders player getting interests from other teams ahead of the Oct. 30 trade deadline. That’s cornerback Gareon Conley, who is reportedly among the hot commodities on the trade market, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Cornerbacks seem to be the apple in the eyes of NFL teams this week. Speaking of which, the Giants have already coughed up cornerback Eli Apple to the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday in exchange for a couple of future picks. Arizona Cardinals star Patrick Peterson is already attracting interest after his desire to get traded became public.

As for Gareon Conley, he is a young secondary piece most teams can plan on keeping for years to come. Conley has played sparingly since he was selected by the Raiders in the first round of last year’s NFL Draft. He was placed on the injured reserve last year due to a shin injury.

The Ohio State product has played in five games this season, including five starts, and has racked up 10 combined tackles and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
