The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off an impressive win against the Baltimore Ravens in which they were able to hold off a late-game comeback by Lamar Jackson and company.

Now the Chargers will go on the road to face a familiar playoff opponent in the New England Patriots. This was already considered an intriguing matchup with these two AFC heavyweights going head-to-head, but on Monday things just got that much more interesting with tight end Hunter Henry officially activated and eligible to play on Sunday, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Before the 2018 NFL season got underway for the Chargers, Henry went down with a torn ACL which was considered a devastating blow for the team's offense. The injury was thought to be season-ending, but he may very well be in uniform at Gilette Stadium on Sunday giving quarterback Philip Rivers another valuable weapon against a formidable opponent.

Henry has quickly become one of Philip Rivers' favorite targets in the passing game and losing the tight end before the season was thought to be a costly blow for the team. Fortunately for Los Angeles, the team has been able to power through and make it to the Divisional Round, but having him back only improves their chances of knocking off the Patriots this weekend.

In 14 games last season, Henry caught 45 passes for 579 yards and four touchdowns. Veteran tight end Antonio Gates and current starter Virgil Green have helped shoulder the load with Henry out. However, the Arkansas product is someone that plays on another level and will be a considerable boost for the Chargers if he is indeed healthy and ready to contribute.
