Los Angeles Chargers safety Rayshawn Jenkins intercepted Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter of the two AFC West division teams' Week 11 Monday Night Football (via NFL).

Jenkins, 25, picked off Mahomes' only second interception on the season. Monday night's matchup is Mahomes', last season's NFL MVP, second game back after miss two contests with a kneecap injury. Last week the 24-year-old stud gunslinger lost to the Tennessee Titans.

Jenkins is a third-year defensive back selected by the Chargers in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Miami. Monday's first-half pick-off was Jenkins' third career interception—all occurring this season for the up-and-coming safety.

It's no small feat to pick off a former MVP, and doubly rare to take one away from the normally extremely accurate and strong Mahomes, who now has thrown just 15 picks in 26 career games.
