The Los Angeles Chargers are battling off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. This is one of the more interesting games of the week. The Chargers have lost two games in a row in disappointing fashion. Philadelphia is coming off a blowout win against the Detroit Lions. The Chargers are 4-3 on the season, while Philadelphia comes into this 3-5.
Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler are going to have to step their game up to new heights. The Chargers want to win the AFC West and get a playoff spot. If Ekeler and Herbert don't turn it on, it's going to be tough.
After starting the year on a hot note, the Chargers have played some disappointing football recently. They are going to look to bounce back versus the Eagles. Let's take a look at some predictions for this game.

Predictions for the Chargers in Week 9
4. The defense won't give up more than 17 points
The Chargers defense has not been good and if they want to win in this league, especially in the playoffs, they need to play defense at a high level. This would be a good week for the defense to get going as Philadelphia doesn't feature a high-powered offense. If the Chargers play defense at an above-average level, they will win this game with ease and will also be one of the best teams come playoff time.
The future of this charger team relies on their defense. Everybody knows what their high-powered offense can do but now it's time for their defense to step up.
3. Austin Ekeler rushes for two touchdowns

Ekeler has shown that he's elite at getting the ball into the end zone. He's tied for the fifth-most touchdowns and he's going to add two more on Sunday. The touchdowns are going to be set up by Justin Herbert and Ekeler is going to break his way through for two touchdowns.
2. The Chargers will score 40 or more points
Los Angeles is coming off two very disappointing losses. They know that if they play the football that they can play, this game verse the Eagles is going to be over by the time the fourth quarter starts. They have one of the best offenses in the NFL and it's led by Superstar quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert is going to have a 300-yard passing game with three or more touchdowns, along with Austin Ekeler putting in two of his own.
1. Los Angeles wins by two touchdowns or more
This game won't be as close as many think it will be. Although they are coming off two disappointing losses, the talent on the Chargers roster is significantly better than what is on the Eagles roster. Expect the Chargers to win this game with ease. They will never really be trailing throughout it. The Chargers are clearly the better football team here and they're going to bounce back from two tough losses and take care of Philadelphia.
Los Angeles is getting into must-win territory. Now that they're playing a team that they're significantly better than with the Eagles, they have to take advantage of the opportunity. Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler are going to carry the Chargers to a victory.
