It's been a rough year for Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey as his team failed to make the playoffs. However, the outspoken defender is already preparing for the following season by revealing his big goal for the 2020 campaign.
He says that he's dedicating the next season to all of his haters. Or, more accurately, to prove them wrong throughout the season. In order to achieve that goal, he plans to finish the season without allowing any running backs to score a touchdown while he's guarding them.
Gave up 1 TD all year back in week 1.. I’m going for 0 in 2020 🤫 #HatersWontLikeThis

Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire explained why his quest for a zero-touchdown season is a rare one.
He doesn’t want to give up a single touchdown in 2020, which is something Stephon Gilmore, Tre’Davious White and Richard Sherman, among others, accomplished this year.
The talented 25-year-old wants to be recognized as one of the best corners in the league, and not ceding a touchdown is a quick way of cementing one's legacy as a stellar pass defender in the NFL.
Moreover, it seemed like he was inspired by one of the best corners to ever play the game in Darelle Revis. He's a respected corner who has not allowed even the best wide receivers to have a sniff of the football. He's been so effective at snuffing out passes that quarterbacks aren't even throwing his way. Revis Island was a real pain in the butt for offenses as it crippled one of their weapons.
Definitely 🐐 talk!! Revis island was not a place WRs wanted to be AT ALL!!
I definitely don’t play with safety help majority of the time either. Ask any safety that’s ever played wit me.. & that’s a FACT!! “Go make a play, I’m good”.. I’m tryna be like these goats of the game https://t.co/rMVJWaXErg

Ramsey was called to the Pro Bowl this year in spite of having a down year for a player of his caliber. However, for him to have 50 tackles, two forced fumbles, five pass deflections, and one interception is an impressive feat for him. He'll surely be playing a lot better next season for the Rams.
