Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff enjoyed a bit of a coming-out party against the Minnesota Vikings on primetime Thursday night. However, he made sure to credit the pieces around him for his stellar outing.

Goff was virtually flawless all night against what was supposed to be a formidable Vikings defense. He attributed his performance to feeling comfortable in the pocket thanks to his offensive line, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:

“It felt pretty good all night,” Goff said. “I thought we did a great job protecting, as we’ve done most of the season this year and, really, all of the season this year. Just keeping me upright and anytime that happens, we’ve got such good guys on the outside and try to get the ball in their hands and let them make plays. Tonight, we were able to do that.”

Goff had plenty of time to break down the Vikings defense. He made them pay by spreading the love to all of his weapons. Although this has been the case throughout the 2018 NFL season, the offense managed to click on all cylinders on Thursday.

Goff's ability to spread the wealth made a number of fantasy owners quite happy. Wideouts Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp each finished with more than 100 receiving yards on the night. This was the first time a Rams team managed to do that since the “Greatest Show on Turf” did it in 2000.

Goff also became the first Rams quarterback to throw for five touchdowns since Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner did it in 1999. Los Angeles is looking to emulate their numbers the rest of the season.

The jury had been out on Goff's status as a franchise quarterback going into the 2018 campaign. However, he erased any doubts with Thursday's performance.
