Jalen Ramsey is arguably the greatest cornerback of his generation. The Los Angeles Rams star CB has simply been on a different level ever since he stepped foot in the league. His ability to disrupt any offense and lock up star receivers has him firmly atop the CB pecking order.

There's a certain group, though, that seems to believe that the Rams star is way overhyped. Recently, an anonymous AFC executive slammed Ramsey, saying this about the star cornerback. (via ESPN)

“I think he’s falling off and a little overrated at this point,” he said. “Super Bowl, to me, is an indication of what it’s going to look like moving forward.”

That's… certainly a interesting claim to make about the star. Yes, Ramsey did get lit up a couple of times by the Bengals' star receivers during the Super Bowl. However, for the most part, Ramsey was his usual excellent self, helping his team to victory. Fans will actually recall that one of the big plays Cincinnati had was on a questionable no-call against Ramsey.

The best way to prove a point, though, is to show evidence, and that's exactly what the Rams star did in response. In response to the “overrated” talk, Jalen Ramsey rattled off this multiple achievements earlier in his career.

Jalen Ramsey took the NFL world by storm when he first stepped foot as part of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The cornerback was a key part of the success of “Sacksonville” back in 2017. A few years after that, Ramsey bolted for the Rams, signing the largest contract for a defensive back in NFL history.

Make no mistake: Ramsey is STILL the gold standard for cornerbacks in the NFL.
