Jared Goff has done nothing but produce for the Los Angeles Rams but has received a ton of criticism. Despite the harsh criticism, an NFL coach thinks highly of Goff.

Recently, Mike Sando of The Athletic posted an article that allowed 55 coaches and executives to rank the quarterbacks in the NFL. In the article, a particular NFL coach believes that Goff is the “perfect” quarterback for Los Angeles.

“I like him a lot,” an offensive coordinator said. “He didn’t play as well as you’d like in the Super Bowl, so people are overreacting, but you watch his season, he makes some unbelievably good throws. He is the perfect guy for them. Definitely a 2.”

Over the past two seasons, Goff has put up impressive numbers, but after losing in the Super Bowl, people quickly turned on him. In the Super Bowl, Goff struggled against the New England Patriots, putting up just three points.

Although, people tend to forget some of the unbelievable throws that Goff made to take down the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. Fans and the media alike have questioned just how good Goff really is.

People believe Sean McVay is the sole reason why Goff can perform at a high-level. Even though, Goff is the one making the phenomenal throws—not McVay.

Nonetheless, Goff will need to have another season like 2018 to continue showing he's a franchise quarterback. At least for Goff, there are coaches who believe he is perfect for the Los Angeles offense.
