The New England Patriots are off to a good start in their Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon, and Julian Edelman set a milestone in the process.

Shortly after, he made his 94th catch to eclipse Wayne in the rankings.

Edelman obviously has a host of playoff experience as a member of the Patriots.

He was originally selected by New England in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft and has been a member of the team ever since.

While Edelman has never made a Pro Bowl, he has been one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL since truly becoming a crucial part of the Patriots' offense in 2013.

That year, Edelman hauled in 105 receptions for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns, and that remains the most productive season of his career.

He then followed that up with a 92-catch, 972-yard, four-touchdown campaign in 2014. However, injuries then began to hit, as Edelman was limited to just nine games in 2015 and also missed the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL.

This season, the 32-year-old played in 12 contests, catching 74 passes for 850 yards and six scores.

He has won two Super Bowls as a member of the Patriots, capturing titles during the 2013-14 and 2016-17 campaigns.

The Patriots won 11 games this season and captured their 10th straight AFC East division title in spite of what was an up-and-down 2018 campaign in which many questioned Tom Brady's mortality at quarterback.

However, New England was able to nail down a first-round bye.

The winner of the Patriots-Chargers game on Sunday will move on to the AFC Championship Game to battle the Kansas City Chiefs.
